Who are the Colleys?
We’re just a regular family…two kids, a cat, and we really do have a white picket fence. The reason we’re on this site, though, is that we all love the Word of God passionately and we all love to write about it. The kids, Caleb and Hannah are both collegiate now. Caleb, a Freed-Hardeman University graduate, is a writer/producer for Apologetics Press. He completed his masters in Liberal Arts at Faulkner and is now working on a doctorate at the University of South Carolina. Hannah is a student at Freed-Hardeman University where she plans to graduate in 2010 with a degree in English. That leaves us, Glenn and Cindy, in a new phase of our lives. People call it the empty nest, only our empty nest seems more demanding than the one with the baby birds in it! Glenn serves as an elder and the pulpit minister for the greatest church in Alabama, the West Huntsville Church of Christ. Cindy serves there as a Bible class teacher and women’s ministry leader. We’re active in missions having been blessed in an amazing way to work in Africa, India, Ukraine, Colombia, Jamaica, New Zealand and Argentina. Glenn and Caleb speak in lots of gospel meetings, lectureships and youth seminars and Cindy and Hannah do many ladies’ and teen girls’ programs. Our favorites are the ones we get to do together. Glenn and Cindy also speak in the “You’re Singing My Song” marriage and family seminars.
God has just been very good to our family. The materials you find on this site are not new ideas. All of the good ideas are in His Word. We’ve just re-worded, expounded on and illustrated eternal truths from that Book of Books. We’ve tried to make all of the books and CDs practical tools for studying and obeying the Bible. You’ll read about family experiences that will hopefully help you avoid our mistakes and build on our successes. We know that ultimate success is living our lives and going to heaven…period! We surely don’t have all the answers as marriage partners or as parents, but the Eternal Parent does! We pray daily that God will use every tool you find on this site for His eternal glory.
